  • What is it like to be a Dental Hygienist?

What is a typical day like being a DH, including number of hours and days in a typical week? Pros and cons? Job market under a normal economy? Any info would be appreciated!

Why don’t you job shadow a DH for a day? This will give you the best idea of a typical day. Some only work 3 or 4 days a week and it is considered ‘full time’. This website can give you a little more info: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos097.htm

Be aware that DH programs are highly competitive and intense, you have to be fully committed to stick with it or you’ll give up.

You get on here and ask real DHs about there career choice and it also has all the answers to the questions your asking. Its helped me out alot on find info on careers.
