We are a new pediatric dental practice and our patients are going to participate. We thought of having the children ring bells with the theme from the movie (every time a bell rings an angel gets it’s wings). However, we do not know how to decorate the float. Please help!!!
Presumably the scene at the end with the tree – decorated as a Christmas Tree – with the man and his family together and hugging or just near – a sofa/livingroom scene and any other people dressed as the townspeople.
about 3 weeks ago (friday) i discovered a lump on the right side of my neck i had no other symthons but this mystery lump i went straight to my doc who gave me an examination and told me it was a swollen lymph node, prob a viral infection from previous dental work! and to go see my dentist, the following day i had a high fever and headache, i also felt very tired, i didn’t feel like eating ne food for 2 days and my mussels all over my body were acking i also had a very mild sore throat which was only there for a day and also a rash over my chest and stomach which also only lasted a day, i booked an appointment with a different doctor on monday told her of my symthons and told me it was probably a common cold or possibly glandular fever! neither doctors told me to get a blood test done! the lump was big about the size of half a golf ball but seems to have gone down abit since then, however the lump is still there?? painless and hard and i feel fine! im worried i have something more serious? should i go back to the doc adn get a blood test? or how long until this lump goes away? i have no other lumps ne where else as i have been checking regularly in case other lymph nodes have swollen! the lump doesn’t seem to move around much and is more fixed to one spot just under my jaw and its not my gland coz i can feel it next to teh lump
You need to she your GP who may refer you to have a blood test
is this good? how would you rearrange any of the paragraphs. or how would you reword any of the sentences.
thanks.

My name is Priscilla Luna and I am in an accredited Dental Assisting program at Everest College in Alhambra, CA.
I decided to become a dental assistant after having braces for 2 years. I saw how happy the dental assistants were and decided I wanted to be happy, too, as well as help people.
I truly feel I deserve this scholarship because it will be used towards continuing my education to become a dental hygienist.
I have achieved a few accomplishments while at Everest College. I am in honor roll, I have perfect attendance, and I am the class ambassador. As class ambassador, I have learned many leadership qualities. I am assertive, dedicated, creative, and fair. I attend weekly meetings to see what has been done or what needs to be done for the students. I help my fellow students with anything from answering a question about homework to helping the students in the proper positioning of the x-ray film. There have been a few instances where I found some valuable information that I thought would be useful to me as a future dental assistant, but I always took the liberty of printing out enough copies for the entire class and for my instructor. I always study beforehand and I am usually the first to raise my hand to answer a question my instructor asks.
Aside from my leadership position at school, I was a supervisor at a previous job. I trained new employees at a market research company.
Ultimately, I would like to become a Registered Dental Hygienist in Extended Functions. I plan on continuing my education this upcoming fall semester at Cerritos College. I hope to become an RDHEF in the shortest time possible.
My long term goal is to own my own practice. I even have a working title, “Luna’s Pearly Whites.”
I believe patient education is very important. When I own my own practice, I plan on having some sort of program that will be available to those who cannot afford dental care. Proper patient education in oral hygiene should be readily available to those of all cultural and financial backgrounds. I hope to start a program that may start at my dental office and expand statewide and possibly nationwide.
I have a very supportive family who applauds me for thinking of others by wanting to work in the dental field to eventually make a difference. It means a lot to have their support and it would also mean a lot to have the support of the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society, Allied Dental Health, and the CDA Foundation.
ANY help willl do.
Most of what you have written here is unnecessary if not counterproductive.
Tell them which scholarship you are applying for and how you are enrolled in that discipline. Give them your GPA and any awards you may have received and any writing you might have published in the past. Discuss any classes you may have taken that are unique to the discipline you are studying for that makes you more qualified than the other guy.
They can care less about your family. They may not like the fact that you share your studies with others. The braces thing is cute but cute can be counterproductive.
The name of your new practice is likewise something that you could easily take out.
Focus on the skills and training you have to offer, If you have any recommendations reference them by quoting the person.
And make yourself sound like you have a sense of time management and direction. What do you think you will be able to do with the education that another may not? How will you do this? How long will it take?
I can see that you tried to hit on some of these points, but; be more of a salesperson and less of an autobiographer. You want them to buy you and not the other person and like any other purchase you buy what gives you the most for your dollar.
Good Luck.
Both Act and Act Restoring dental rince contain the same ingredients, except Restoring has alcohol. Don’t both restore lost minerals, since fluoride is the active ingredient? What makes one "restoring" and the other apparently not? Is this a cheap marketing ploy to charge more bucks?
Act is an anti-cavity rinse with fluoride as the active ingredient. Act Restoring is a mouthwash which will help your breath and also contains fluoride. The amount of fluoride is the same in both products. Yes, they are marketed to different groups for slightly different purposes.
I am trying figure out how to quote a quote. The aticle was written by one person, the quote I am using was said by another in his book, but the quote was used in the article that I found. Do I quote the author of the article, the person who actually made the quote, or both?
There is a special type of method for quoting other quotes. All you really have to do is cite the book you found it in. If you have an MLA Handbook, you should look up something like "sources within sources" in the contents. If you don’t have a handbook, you can just write the citation for the work in which you found the quote. Then, add the name person and the word "in" before the citation.
So, if you were quoting a Shakespeare quote from a Cosmopolitan article, you would write
Shakespeare, William in "How to impress women with quotes from old playwrights", Cosmopolitan. 127:Mar 2009. 34.
Make sure you use the proper format for the citation of the work where you found the quote. In in-text parenthetical should refer to the work where you found the quote.

Lion + Tiger = LIGER! Freckles was rescued from a failed backyard sanctuary in mississippi Dec 2008. 16 year old Freckles is one of the oldest Ligers around but she is one of the most recent arrivals to Big Cat Rescue. At the time of her rescue we could see a big hole in her jowl, and feared that it would lead to her demise, but she was in such bad shape that we just couldn’t risk knocking her out to get a better look. Being a cranky old cat, she wasn’t about to let us get a good look any other way either. She was given antibiotics in case it was just an injury, but now that she has become more calm in her new setting we can see that the problem stems from several broken teeth. Caged cats will often break off their teeth trying to chew their way out of their prison cells and when she was left behind to die in Mississippi she probably did just that.
The dental work was completed on Freckles without any problems and she as made a full recovery. Let’s hope that the dental as taken away her pain and she will have no more problems in the future.
This procedure cost Big Cat Rescue a lot of money so if you would like to help us pay for the cost of her treatment please visit: http://www.bigcatrescue.org/donate.htm
